What Is a Review Schema Generator?

A review schema generator formats a rating and review text into Review JSON-LD (or AggregateRating for a summary across many reviews), defined by schema.org. This is what lets Google show star ratings next to a product, recipe, or business listing in search results.

Google's guidelines require that review markup reflect genuine, visible reviews — self-serving or fabricated review schema on your own product pages, without real third-party reviews, is against policy and can result in a manual action.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Self-reviews on your own products. Google explicitly disallows using review schema for a business's own opinion of its own products or services.
Fabricated or purchased reviews. Ratings must reflect real customer feedback.
Missing bestRating context. If your scale isn't out of 5, set the correct bestRating value so the star display renders correctly.
Aggregate rating with no real review count. Don't include aggregateRating without a genuine, matching review count on the page.
