At TechBoard, we aim to provide clear scopes, transparent pricing and dependable digital services. This Refund Policy explains when payments may be refunded, credited or considered non-refundable.
This policy applies to services and products purchased directly from TechBoard through thetechboard.net, an invoice, proposal or another approved payment method.
Service Projects
Custom website development, WordPress development, Shopify work, SEO, performance optimization, design and other professional services involve time and resources allocated specifically to a client.
If a project is cancelled before work begins, payments may be eligible for a full refund, excluding any non-refundable third-party charges already incurred.
If work has already started, TechBoard may deduct the reasonable value of completed work, purchased resources and other committed costs before issuing any remaining refund.
Once agreed work has been substantially completed and delivered, payments are normally non-refundable unless the service has materially failed to match the agreed scope and TechBoard is unable to correct the issue.
Deposits and Milestone Payments
A deposit may be required before work begins.
Where a proposal states that a deposit is non-refundable, the deposit reserves development time and project capacity and will not normally be returned after work has started.
For milestone-based projects, payments for completed and approved milestones are non-refundable.
If TechBoard terminates a project without delivering work corresponding to an amount already paid, the unused portion may be refunded.
WordPress One-Time Fix Guarantee
TechBoard currently offers a No Fix, No Fee guarantee for qualifying standard WordPress one-time fixes.
If TechBoard accepts a qualifying standard repair but cannot resolve the agreed issue, the payment for that fix will be refunded.
The guarantee applies to the specific problem agreed before work begins. It does not automatically apply to unrelated problems, additional work, third-party licensing costs, hosting limitations or issues outside TechBoard’s reasonable control.
If the original issue is resolved but another separate issue remains, the completed repair is considered delivered.
Emergency and Malware Services
Emergency work may require immediate allocation of developer time, backups, diagnostics, malware scanning or server investigation.
If TechBoard has already performed substantial diagnostic or cleanup work, those charges may not be refundable even where another issue prevents complete restoration.
Any specific guarantee shown on the service page or quotation will take priority over the general terms in this section.
Website Maintenance Plans
Recurring maintenance services cover work and availability during the purchased billing period.
You may cancel future renewals at any time before the next renewal date.
Cancellation prevents future billing but does not normally generate a refund for a billing period that has already started.
If TechBoard is unable to provide a substantial portion of the maintenance service purchased, we may provide a proportional refund, account credit or extension.
SEO Services
SEO work may include technical improvements, content optimization, keyword research, structured data, internal linking, performance improvements and other agreed activities.
Payments for completed SEO work are not refundable solely because a particular ranking, traffic level, lead volume or revenue result was not achieved.
Search-engine rankings are controlled by third parties and can change due to competition, algorithm updates and other factors outside TechBoard’s control.
Refund requests based on a failure to deliver the agreed SEO work itself will be reviewed separately.
Digital Products
This section applies to downloadable products, plugins, templates, code, digital assets and similar products sold by TechBoard.
Because digital products can normally be accessed or copied immediately, purchases may become non-refundable once the product has been downloaded, activated or otherwise delivered.
A refund may still be considered where a product is materially defective, was incorrectly supplied or cannot perform a function specifically stated on its product page and TechBoard cannot provide a reasonable fix.
Refunding a digital product terminates the associated license. The customer must stop using and distributing the refunded product.
Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation right that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.
Third-Party Costs
Domain registrations, hosting charges, premium themes, plugins, stock assets, advertising spend, software subscriptions, APIs and other third-party purchases are subject to the provider’s own refund policies.
TechBoard cannot guarantee refunds for amounts already paid to third parties.
Chargebacks
Please contact TechBoard before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback.
We will make a reasonable effort to investigate billing disputes and resolve legitimate issues directly.
Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in suspension of services, licenses or account access.
How to Request a Refund
Send your request through the TechBoard contact page or to the support email shown on the website.
Include the order or invoice reference, the service or product purchased and a short explanation of the issue.
We may request additional information before making a decision.
Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method where practical. Processing times may depend on the payment provider or financial institution.
Changes to This Policy
TechBoard may update this Refund Policy when services, products or payment arrangements change.
The current version and effective date will always be published on this page.
