01 / Challenge

What needed to change.

The used-appliance market works differently from a normal fixed-price online store.

Inventory changes frequently. Appliance condition varies from unit to unit. Customers often want to confirm availability, condition, delivery and price before purchasing.

The website therefore needed to work as both a structured product catalogue and a lead-generation platform.

It also needed enough SEO depth to target searches across different appliance categories, brands and UAE locations without creating a collection of thin or disconnected pages.

02 / Approach

How TechBoard approached it.

TechBoard used WooCommerce as the underlying catalogue system while adapting the customer journey around WhatsApp enquiries.

Standard Add to Cart behaviour was replaced with a purpose-built WhatsApp workflow. Product pricing could remain hidden where the business wanted customers to confirm current pricing and stock directly.

The information architecture was then expanded beyond individual products.

We created clear paths around appliance categories, brand pages, UAE location landing pages and informational buying content. Internal linking connects those layers so a visitor can move naturally between educational content, categories and available products.

Custom WhatsApp tracking was also added so product, catalogue and floating-button interactions could be measured without changing the existing ordering experience.

Outcome

What changed.

The completed platform gives the business a central buyer-focused website instead of relying only on individual listings or messaging.
Customers can now browse used refrigerators, washing machines, cookers, dishwashers and other appliances through a structured catalogue before moving into WhatsApp for the final enquiry.
The site also supports brand-led discovery for manufacturers such as Bosch, LG, Samsung and Siemens and location-led search journeys for Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman.
Educational content provides another entry point for search visitors and supports internal links back to commercial pages.
The website remains actively maintained and expanded as inventory, search opportunities and business requirements change.

BuyUsedAppliances.ae was developed as a dedicated buyer-facing platform for the UAE used-appliance market.

Instead of forcing customers through a conventional eCommerce checkout, the site combines WooCommerce catalogue management with a WhatsApp-first enquiry flow. Visitors can browse appliances by category, brand and location, inspect individual products and contact the business directly about current price and availability.

The project also established an SEO structure around product categories, major appliance brands, UAE service areas and informational buying guides.
