Common WordPress fixes

Specific problems that need a developer, not another subscription.

The service is designed around a clearly defined issue. If the problem turns out to be broader than a one-time fix, we confirm that before expanding the scope.

Critical errors & WSOD

Fatal PHP errors, white screens, maintenance-mode problems and WordPress failures that block access to the site or dashboard.

Standard or custom

Malware & hacked sites

Investigate redirects, injected spam, suspicious files and compromised WordPress installations, then clean and review the site according to the accepted emergency scope.

Emergency

Plugin & theme conflicts

Diagnose update conflicts, compatibility errors, broken features and regressions involving WordPress core, plugins or the active theme.

Common standard fix

CSS & responsive fixes

Repair a specific layout, header, mobile-menu, spacing or responsive issue without turning a small styling task into a full redesign project.

Standard

WooCommerce checkout issues

Investigate broken checkout behavior, plugin conflicts, payment-flow errors and other store problems that need careful live-site testing.

Often emergency/custom

Forms & email delivery

Diagnose contact forms, SMTP configuration, routing issues and other delivery problems that cause website leads or notifications to go missing.

Standard
How it works

Three steps from problem report to verified fix.

The assessment step matters: it protects you from paying a fixed fee for something that is actually a larger migration, malware incident, custom-code project or hosting problem.

01

Submit the issue

Tell us what is broken, what changed before the problem started, and share screenshots or error messages where available. We may ask for temporary access to reproduce the issue.

02

We assess & confirm the scope

We determine whether the request fits the $49 Standard Fix, needs the $149 Emergency/Malware scope, or should receive a custom quote before work begins.

03

Fix, test & hand back

Once approved, we take a suitable backup where practical, perform the agreed repair, verify the affected functionality and let you know what changed.

One-time pricing

Pay for the problem you have, not a recurring plan you do not need.

The existing $49 and $149 offers are retained. The assessment determines which scope fits before the repair starts.

Single defined issue
$49 one-time

Standard Fix

For a specific task or relatively contained WordPress problem that fits the standard one-time scope.

  • 1 specific accepted task/error
  • Theme/CSS adjustment
  • White-screen/fatal-error troubleshooting
  • Plugin conflict troubleshooting
  • Pre-fix backup where practical
  • Typical target: 24–48 hours after access/scope confirmation
Submit a standard fix

Turnaround is a service target, not a guarantee. Timing depends on when access is supplied, whether the issue can be reproduced, hosting/provider dependencies and the actual complexity discovered during assessment.

No Fix, No Fee — for qualifying Standard Fixes

If TechBoard accepts a qualifying Standard Fix and cannot resolve the specific issue agreed before work begins, the payment for that fix is refunded. The guarantee does not automatically extend to unrelated problems, third-party licensing costs, hosting limitations or work outside the accepted scope. See the Refund Policy for the full terms.

Scope boundaries

Some problems should not be squeezed into a one-hour repair.

The useful part of a one-time fix is its clarity. If the site needs a rebuild, deep malware recovery, infrastructure changes or custom development, we will say so before expanding the work.

Good fit for a one-time fix

Specific, reproducible issues with a reasonably clear repair path.

  • One broken form or email flow
  • Specific plugin/theme conflict
  • Fatal error or white screen
  • Small responsive/CSS issue
  • Maintenance-mode problem
  • Contained checkout issue

Usually needs a separate scope

Work that is broader than a contained repair or depends heavily on external systems.

  • Full redesign or site rebuild
  • Large migration
  • Complex custom plugin development
  • Ongoing SEO/performance campaign
  • Severe multi-site malware incident
  • Hosting/server changes controlled by a third party
FAQ

Before you submit the issue.

What counts as a one-time fix, how fast we aim to respond, how access works and how the refund guarantee applies.

What counts as a Standard One-Time Fix?

A Standard Fix is one specific accepted WordPress task or error that can reasonably be handled within the standard scope. Examples include a contained layout issue, contact-form problem, plugin conflict or maintenance-mode error. If the issue is broader, we quote it before proceeding.

Will I be forced into a monthly subscription?

No. This is specifically a one-off support service. Maintenance is available separately if you later decide you want ongoing updates, backups and monitoring.

How long does a standard fix take?

The current target for accepted Standard Fixes is 24–48 hours after the necessary access and scope are confirmed. Emergency tickets can receive priority handling. Actual timing depends on complexity and third-party dependencies.

Is it safe to provide WordPress access?

We recommend creating a temporary or dedicated administrator account rather than sharing a personal login. Where hosting access is necessary, temporary credentials or delegated access are preferable when the provider supports them. You can revoke access after the work is complete.

What happens if you cannot fix the accepted Standard issue?

If we accepted a qualifying Standard Fix and cannot resolve the specific issue agreed before work began, the payment for that fix is refunded according to the Refund Policy. This does not automatically cover unrelated issues, hosting limitations or work outside the accepted scope.

Is malware cleanup always $149?

No. $149 is the current Emergency & Malware starting scope. A severe compromise, multiple infected sites, server-level issue or complex recovery may require a custom quote after assessment.

Can you fix WooCommerce checkout problems?

Yes. Checkout issues can involve plugins, payment gateways, theme code, JavaScript, hosting or third-party services. We first determine whether the problem fits the emergency scope or needs a broader custom quote.

Tell us exactly what is broken.

Include the URL, what you expected to happen, what actually happened, and any screenshot or error message you have. We will confirm the scope before starting the repair.
